Deleting your ThreadRecap account

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, without asking us. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

From the Android app

Open the app, go to Profile, and tap Delete my account. Type your email address to confirm.

From the web

Sign in and open Settings, then Account. The deletion form is at the bottom of that page and asks you to type your email address to confirm.

Open account settings

What is deleted

Immediately, and without a recovery window:

  • Your profile and sign-in credentials
  • Every recap, along with the conversation text behind it
  • Voice-message audio and the transcripts made from it
  • Documents generated from your conversations, and the follow-up chats
  • Connected integrations and their access tokens
  • Your email history with us

What is kept, and why

Two things survive deletion, neither of which identifies you:

  • Invoices for purchases you paid for. Portuguese tax law requires them to be retained, and they are kept for that purpose alone.
  • Aggregate, de-identified operating figures — counts and totals with no link back to you or to anything you wrote.

Unused credits are not refunded on deletion. Spend them or request a refund before you delete, if that matters to you.

If you cannot sign in

Write to us from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you. We may ask you to confirm something only the account holder would know, because a deletion request is irreversible and we will not act on one we cannot verify.
