Is my conversation data private and secure?

Your chat file is parsed entirely in your browser. Photos and videos never leave your device. For analysis, the text content is sent to AI with personal data (emails, phone numbers, links, card numbers) automatically redacted. Audio is only sent for transcription if you explicitly opt in. Saved results are encrypted at rest and can be deleted anytime. If you select a video, your browser extracts and sends only its audio track for transcription; the video and its visual content stay on your device.

Does ThreadRecap transcribe voice messages?

Yes. If you include media in your export and opt in to audio processing, voice messages are transcribed and woven into the timeline alongside text messages.

What does the report actually contain?
