Terms of Service

By accessing or using ThreadRecap, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

ThreadRecap is a chat analysis tool that helps you understand your WhatsApp conversations through AI-powered insights. The service includes:

• Parsing and processing of WhatsApp chat exports
• AI-generated analysis and summaries of conversations
• Audio message transcription, including voice messages and videos converted to audio
• Conversation updates — detect new messages and missing audio in a newer export
• An AI chat to direct the analysis and generate documents
• AI Chat — ask follow-up questions about your analysis results in a conversational interface
• Third-party integrations (Notion, Google Calendar, Trello) — export analysis results to your favorite tools

When using ThreadRecap, you agree to:

• Only upload conversations where you are a participant or have explicit consent from all participants
• Not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the service
• Not use the service to analyze content that violates any laws or regulations
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials

ThreadRecap allows you to connect third-party services to export and sync your analysis results. When using integrations:

• You authorize ThreadRecap to connect to third-party services via OAuth on your behalf
• Data exported to third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies
• You may disconnect any integration at any time from your account settings
• We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your exported data

OAuth tokens for connected services are stored encrypted and are deleted immediately when you disconnect an integration.

ThreadRecap charges for each unlocked conversation and certain additions:

• Your balance is applied to the purchase. A share is reserved during payment; any remainder appears at checkout. Small amounts may remain in your balance to respect the card minimum
• Balance does not expire and has no ordinary withdrawal or transfer feature. This does not limit statutory refund rights
• Paid-credit conversion considers the amount paid for remaining credits, with a minimum $3 balance where paid credits remain. You receive notice before conversion. Purchased bonuses and discrepancies require review
• The price and included items appear before confirmation. If a purchase cannot be delivered, the full amount returns to your ThreadRecap balance, ready to spend right away, and the card charge stays on your statement. Ask us if you want it back on your card instead
• We may change future prices. A price already shown in a checkout remains available for that checkout session
• You can add balance in advance, in the fixed amounts shown. Added balance does not expire and is spent on purchases at the price shown at the time. On request, we refund the part you have not spent to the original payment method
• A full conversation analysis is produced after you pay. We prepare and price your upload first, show the exact total, and start the analysis once payment is confirmed. We deliver it to your account without undue delay. A price we have quoted is held for up to thirty days, and uploading a different conversation cancels it. If the analysis cannot be delivered, we cancel the purchase: the full amount returns to your ThreadRecap balance, ready to spend right away, and the card charge stays on your statement. Ask us if you want it back on your card instead
• When you buy, you ask us to start the analysis immediately, and your 14-day right to withdraw ends once it has been delivered. Before delivery that right still applies: write to us and we return what you paid
• If a file you bought fails or is wrong, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we return what you paid to your ThreadRecap balance, or to your card if you ask

Free credits may end after notice and a usage window under the applicable terms. Notice does not remove acquired rights.

The ThreadRecap service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by André Daniel Souza Silva, who operates ThreadRecap, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to your chat content. We do not claim any ownership over the conversations you analyze. The analysis results generated by our AI are provided for your personal use.

ThreadRecap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind:

• AI-generated analyses and chat responses are for informational and entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon for legal, medical, or professional advice
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any analysis or AI chat response
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on our analysis results
• Service availability may be interrupted for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThreadRecap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

ThreadRecap is operated by André Daniel Souza Silva, an individual based in Portugal. These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you use ThreadRecap as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a dispute before the courts of that country or of Portugal.
